The Ustedalen Hotel

The Ustedalen is a well run traditional Norwegian family hotel 800 m from the centre of Geilo (the ski bus stops outside) and just 200m from the Halstensgard Heisen T Bar.
 
The hotel offers large bedrooms - doubles with sofa beds or family style rooms, all with ensuite facilities, televisions and direct dial telephones. Facilities within the hotel include a children's playroom (just off the dining  room), cinema room, indoor swimming pool, sauna, large lounge with an open fire, bar and evening entertainment. The hotel has free Wi-Fi in the lobby area there is also an internet point.
 
Breakfast is a traditional Norwegian buffet - cereals, bacon, eggs, cold meats, lots of pastries, waffles, fruit, yohurt, plenty supply of fruit juices, teas and good coffee. An evening buffet is available from 7pm and seems to cater for every diet imaginable - plenty of salads, smoked fish, prawns, cold meats, pastas as well as a choice of 3 or 4 main courses, a children's menu and a dessert buffet.
