Absolutely Villas - Pollensa

Originating in the 13th Centaury Pollensa is a traditional Mallorcan town. Narrow streets open up into the main square which is a hive of activity alfresco dining, bars, cafes and restaurants on all four sides.

Park on the outskirts of the town – the old town streets are narrow and many a hire car has become a victim of tight corners and the narrow streets. Worth a visit is the old roman bridge – Pont Roma. The Calvari is a 365 step climb up to an 18th century hilltop chapel from the centre of the town. Pilgrims used to do it on their knees – the reward for us mere mortals at the top, fabulous views over Pollensa, a beautiful church and a small refreshing bar!

Pollensa comes alive in the evening with every restaurant offering alfresco dining!

For children there is a wonderful shaded park with swings and slides just on the edge of the old town.

There are a couple of supermarkets on the outskirts of Pollensa (on the road between Pollensa and Peurto Pollensa) which are open every day including Sundays – generally from 8am to 8pm.
